VOGEL – BAUER Edelstahl bleibt in Familienhänden!

Nach 80 ½ Jahren im Besitz der Familie Vogel-Mathiasen wurde zum Jahreswechsel 2025/26 die Erweiterung des Gesellschafterkreises von VOGEL-BAUER vollzogen.
Mehrheitseigner des Solinger Edelstahlgroßhandels mit integriertem Service-Center ist von nun ab die in Hagen ansässige MKM Holding GmbH, welche durch die Familie Cloppenburg-Vormann geführt wird.
Damit verbleibt VOGEL-BAUER Edelstahl in – gleich doppelt – guten Händen,
was als starkes Signal von unseren Kunden als auch Lieferanten
aufgenommen worden ist.
Über die breite Zustimmung, welche wir als Reaktion auf diesen historischen Zusammenschluss erhalten, freuen wir uns sehr und sichern all unseren Geschäftspartnern die von uns gewohnte Qualität und Verlässlichkeit zu!

TRADITION HOW ALL STARTS

1945: End of the war at last. Chaos. But also a time of new beginnings. Walter Vogel decides to take the courageous step of becoming self-employed and to set up a business in stainless steel, which he sees as having a promising future. A good, a very good decision!

His son Paul-Wilhelm Vogel decisively develops the customer service that has always been a top priority at VOGEL-BAUER. (After a stay in the USA he applies the idea of the service centers and mini-mills visited there to his own company). He consistently invests in the expansion of existing processing capabilities in order to be able to supply the increasing number of stainless processors with immediately usable slit strips and blanks.

The provision of this significant economic advantage is being market with success. The former sawing operation quickly moulted itself through the commissioning of slitting and cut-to-length lines as well as guillotine and round and circular shears towards the end of the 1960s to become the first stainless steel service centre in the Federal Republic of Germany. The company maxim "Stainless steel with service" was born.

Our mission as a service center is mainly to supply the processing industry with stainless steel flat products in the form of slit strip and blanks, and this in perfect coordination with their needs.

The special feature, or let us call it the "spirit" of VOGEL-BAUER, lies in the personal consultation, the partnership-based support and transparent communication of our know-how.
